COUNSELORS

Terry Piazza, the senior counselor on our staff, has been with College Counseling Associates since 1991. Over the years she has helped shape the direction and vision of CCA and became the co-owner in 2001. She holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Educational Counseling. She also brings her ten years of experience in the test prep industry and refined her coaching skills in writing through the Berkeley Writing Center.
Michelle Podbelsek has been with College Counseling Associates since 1998 and became CCA's co-owner in 2001. She completed her undergraduate degree at Tufts University and has a Master's degree in Public Administration focused on the field of Education. Her background includes working in Admissions, counseling teens as a social worker, and working for a federal college counseling program. She also lived and worked in Madrid, Spain, so speaks fluent Spanish and is familiar with the European education system.
Patty Kovas has been with CCA since 2001. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling, both from Northwestern University, where she later worked as an essay reader in their Admissions Office. In 1987 she founded the Greenwich Teen Center in Connecticut where she counseled teens about college and other issues. She has also worked in the field of test prep for several years. patty kovas
Robin Lent joined College Counseling Associates in 2008. She has an undergraduate degree in English and journalism from the University of Southern California. In the late 1990's she started her career in college counseling advising high school athletes negotiating their way through the college recruiting process. Since then she has advised athletes as well as students of all types through the competitive college application process. robin lent
Jennifer Williams Taylor is a former senior director of admissions at Santa Clara University and college admissions reader at Stanford University. She has reviewed over 6,000 personal applications and interviewed more than 500 candidates. Prior to becoming a college admission consultant, she was the COO and VP of Enrollment at Presidio Graduate School. Jennifer holds an MBA from Wharton and a BS from UC Davis and is a board trustee for Hidden Villa in Los Altos. She is a member of HECA - Higher Education Consultants Association and WACAC - Western Association for College Admission Counseling.   Jennifer Williams Taylor
